About me

Tillman is a physician and hematologist who started his career working with patients with HIV and AIDS in the Hell’s Kitchen community of New York City in the mid-80’s. Tillman subsequently pursued a career in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology field, with stents in Switzerland, France and both the east and west coasts of the United States. His experiences as a member of the Executive Teams for several public and private oncology-focused biotechnology companies provides a relevant experience for mentoring new start-ups as they position their company and products for early investments.

Tillman lives in San Francisco with his girlfriend Gayle and their Prince Charles Cavalier Spaniel, McGregor. Tillman first attended Burning Man in 2008 after convincing his friend from Philadelphia to apply for an art grant and has been inspired by the makers and artists he has had the privilege to meet in this community. His enjoys practicing the flow arts, such as hooping and poi and, of course, attending the Burning Man event each year in his beloved 1982 Recreational Vehicle "The Naughty Nancy".
